Christmas Gift Baskets

Giving a gift basket for Christmas can be one of the nicest experiences for you and the recipient. You don’t need to think of a gift basket as something you give because you don’t have any ideas and you don’t know what to give.

Although a gift basket can be a good answer to that particular problem, it doesn’t have to be the reason for giving one. The truth is, some of these gifts are really terrific. And in some cases, the container is more than just a container. It’s not always a basket. It can be a great decorative item. Some of the containers are so beautiful they could be gifts on their own.

Gift baskets with assorted decadent chocolates are available for the chocolate lover. You might know someone who loves coffee. A coffee lovers gift basket might contain a selection of the finest coffees and various delectable treats that go perfect with a cup of coffee. Or you might want to select a snack basket for a sports lover to watch the game or for your co-workers in the office.

The gift baskets for men are really clever and fun. You can select something for a handyman, a fisherman, or a golfer. Not only do they contain delicious snacks, they also contain the appropriate “boys toys.” If he loves to cook outdoors, he would probably love a BBQ gift basket with tools, sauces or a combination of both.

Gift baskets for women contain all things wonderful. Select from elegant spa gifts for pampering and relaxing the body, heavenly scented gifts containing candles, potpourri, lotions, oils or flowers; clever gifts for the gardener and practical gifts for the chef.

You can even find romantic gift baskets designed with couples in mind. Elegant champagne and wine baskets with delicious accompanying snacks are excellent selections for personal friends and are also favorites if you’re looking for a corporate gift. Gift baskets containing gourmet delicacies including coffee, pastries, cookies, crunchy snacks, smoked salmon and caviar are also favorite corporate or business gifts as well as personal gifts.

Gift baskets are also available for kids and babies. There is something for everyone: simple gift baskets and elegant gift baskets, tasteful wine baskets and fabulous cheese baskets; heavenly thank you baskets for a friend or co-worker, snack baskets with assorted choice nuts, pretzel baskets including chocolate and candy coated pretzels to die for, bakery baskets with melt in your mouth cookies and cakes, popcorn baskets with unusual and exciting variations on popcorn, as well as chocolate baskets with little bears tucked inside for that added special loving touch. Or if you want, you can design your own basket from products on the list. That particular basket can be simple or if you really want to impress someone you can make it over the top. The choice is yours. No matter what your budget or who is on your list, you’ll find a gift basket that will make someone feel very special.

Thanks for the ideas! We’re a bit low on money for gifts this year so I was looking for some other ideas. Gift baskets will be wonderful for each family instead of individual gifts! Thank You!

I put together “a night at the movies” baskets, which included a DVD or two, a pkg of microwave popcorn and several boxes of “movie type candies that can be bought at the dollar store. You can also add a drink mix that they can make and serve. So far everyone I’ve given that gift to has loved it.

When I think about gift baskets, I think of putting together something that a person wouldn’t get for themself. I love to make cookie and cake mixes up and load baskets with these, plus items that I canned in the summer, like pickles and blueberry jam. Mixes that will shave time off a busy mom’s schedule, but would be fun to make with her children are also big. I include wooden mixing spoons and some kind of a personal trinket. I like to sew and love to pack gifts in homemade Christmas stockings. I’ve packed items into large tins, old sap buckets, baskets of all kinds, decoupaged metal paint cans and inexpensive mixing bowls. I pick up interesting things as I come across them and I am never caught without something to bring if invited to a dinner or party. The choices are endless.

Thank you for this great idea of a ‘gift basket’. I can now give each of my family members a small gift basket with the things that they like and can use. Thanks so much once again.
