Christmas Pecan Snowball Cookies

This is a perfect Christmas cookie because it just looks like something you might see on a cookie tray at the dessert table. It not only looks tempting, but is delicious. And best of all—it’s easy.

If you’re using a White Christmas as your theme, this is a great cookie to go along with the theme. You might also want to try the Christmas Lily Cookie. Together, they would be perfect companions on a tiered serving piece.

¼ pound butter or margarine
1 cup flour
2 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup chopped pecans
¼ teaspoon salt (optional)
Powdered sugar

Combine all ingredients (except powdered sugar) and shape into balls.

Bake in a 350° oven for 15 minutes.

Roll in powdered sugar while hot.

Cool, and roll again in powdered sugar.

I Love these cookies, doesn’t get much better. I made these years ago with my sister when our children were small. Thanks for the recipe so I can make these again. I thought about sprinkling a little colored sugars, in Christmas colors on top on the powered sugar. Just a idea….

Thank you so much for this recipe as I am at my daughter’s house in North Carolina and forgot to bring it with me. My daughter first made these favorite Christmas cookies years ago when she was a little girl in Girl Scouts in Maryland. Happy Holidays to All and God Bless!
